Greatwide Signs Multi-Location Distribution Logistics Contract with LG Electronics New Agreement Adds Three New Distribution Center Locations to Existing LG Contract DALLAS (August 25, 2009) - Greatwide Logistics Services, a national provider of non-asset-based transportation and third-party logistics services, announced that their Distribution Logistics team will expand its current relationship with LG Electronics USA, a global leader and technology innovator in consumer electronics, mobile communications and home appliances. LG Electronics has been a customer of Greatwide since 2006, operating out of the firm's Fort Worth, Texas facility. The new contract will include additional LG operations at facilities in Portland, Ore., Romeoville, Ill. and Orlando, Fla. as well as continued operations at the existing Fort Worth site. The expanded agreement with LG allows a 40% increase in personnel and 100% increase in square footage. The new facilities will range in size from 50,000 to 500,000 square feet. The scope of work will include Greatwide employees performing all warehouse-associated tasks, with the company responsible for efficiently receiving, putting away, cycle counting, picking, processing and shipping LG commercial electronics and digital appliances. The new agreement with LG engages Greatwide for several years at the three new facilities.
